Climate Innovation challenge


The UNICEF Venture Fund has recently launched a new Climate Innovation challenge

 

A few key aspects of the challenge and what startups can win :

  • Selected startups will win ten hours of technical assistance and will with UNICEF Technical Experts in the areas of open source, business development, frontier technology, software development and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) mentorship. 
  • The companies will receive technical support to unlock future investment and a global platform to showcase their climate innovation.
  • The challenge is looking for startups that provide solutions which protect children from climate-related health risks or AI + data tools powering climate and community resilience.
  • The submission deadline for applications is October 21, 2025

 

What is the challenge looking for?

  • The Venture Fund is looking for Open Source (or willing to be) cutting-edge startups that are leveraging frontier technologies like blockchain, extended reality (XR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML).
