The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and its partners invite you to participate in the 2nd edition of the SDG Digital GameChangers Award,- a global recognition of projects, applications, and policies that are leveraging digital technologies in pursuit of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This competition is an exceptional opportunity to celebrate outstanding digital initiatives that are making a real difference in achieving the SDGs.
The SDG Digital GameChangers award is open to all stakeholders, from government, the private sector, academia, civil society, the technical community, international organizations and youth. We encourage you to submit your innovative projects, applications, and policies that are utilizing digital technologies to achieve a brighter future for all.
You are invited to participate in one of four categories (People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace) each aligning with several SDGs.
Young people between 18 and 29 years of age can also compete for the Special Youth Pioneers Award by submitting their visionary ideas, as well as digital projects that are transforming our world.
Submissions must be sent by no later than 11 August 2024 at 23:00 Central European Summer Time.
The SDG GameChangers Award is part of the SDG Digital, a cornerstone of ongoing efforts to leverage digital innovation for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), set within the broader context of this year’s UN General Assembly, the Summit of the Future and its Action Days. On 20 and 21 September in New York, SDG Digital will exemplify how digital technologies can lay the groundwork for a more sustainable, inclusive, and responsible future. By convening leaders from government, civil society, the private sector, youth, and academia, SDG Digital will propel participants forward into the future, encouraging exploration of the trends, risks, and opportunities presented by digital and emerging technologies on our journey forward.

The 5 Winners, one per category, will be awarded on 20 September 2024 in New York.
